What is Action Acton ?
We are a regeneration partnership comprising local residents, public agencies, businesses and community groups. We were formed in 1996 when led by the London Borough of Ealing, various organisations agreed to collaborate to tackle the decline of Acton that had been evident for some time.
Activities
In 2000 Action Acton developed a ‘Strategy for Acton ', with its partners and the community and is co-ordinating the implementation of this strategy through five Task Groups established to look at Acton 's highest priority problems.

What have we done so far…?
- Spent £9.7 million on regeneration
- Attracted £29.2 million of other funding
- Seen the creation of 302 new jobs
- Helped 1598 school pupils to increase attainment in some aspect of their education
- Trained 479 local people to achieve qualifications
- Assisted 270 local people to find work
- Supported the start-up of 42 new businesses
- Advised 281 local businesses
- Encouraged 464 residents to volunteer
- Supported local groups on 500 occasions
- Provided 73 pre-school childcare places and 125 childcare places in after-school clubs
- Made 150 Community Chest grants
