Workshops: What are they?Much of our work with primary schools has centred around a workshop programme. Schools are invited to book from a range of workshops involving a range of media and technology, these include:
Workshops are in the main applicable across the curriculum although some may have a particular focus. Teachers are able to negotiate a focus on particular curriculum areas at the planning stage.
Each primary school is entitled to one workshop (per academic year) at the CLC free of charge. Further workshops are available by request.
What does it entail?
The workshop offer consists of a ‘trio’ which reflects the three-stage approach:
1. planning/induction in school
2. delivery of 1 day workshop at CLC
3. follow-up/evaluation in school/at CLC
Do I need to have high level ICT skills?
No, each workshop is supported by an experienced teacher who has relevant professional experience of working with students of all abilities and high calibre ICT skills.
When are the workshops available?
The CLC sessions are all generally held on Wednesdays with timing of school based sessions negotiated around the booked workshop.
How do I access my ‘trio’?
To book a ‘trio’ visit/make an enquiry visit the Enquiries section of this site or for further information email the CLCs Curriculum Coordinator; greeves@ealingclc.net |
