Primary Workshops1. Digital Imaging
Pupils learn how to use a digital camera. Using digital imaging software they shall edit and incorporate digital images into their work to enhance curricular outcomes. This work can be incorporated across all curricular areas.
2. Role-Playing
Pupils are introduced to storyboarding using Kar2ouche, a role-playing application. Students develop key skills in story-telling and develop communication skills through using the auditory speech and textual modes available via Kar2ouche software.
3. Digital Video
Using video in the classroom has enormous potential. Pupils (and teachers) are introduced to basic video editing techniques. This workshop incorporates an introduction to good story-boarding.
4. Multimedia
The combination of text, sound, animation and moving images provides a powerful means for students to learn and communicate. In this workshop students are given an opportunity to explore the possibilities of multimedia using ICT.
5. Broadcasting
Visual Communicator is a fun broadcasting application that allows students to devise and deliver their own miniprogramme on any subject of their choice. Students write their script (in school) and refine this at the Centre, culminating in a newscast using their own choice of background, music and visual prompts.
