BBC School Report
Media literacy is at the heart of the BBC News School Report project which encourages 12 and 13-year olds around the country to make the news in their schools. During the course of the past three years Ealing CLC has been working with almost all 13 Ealing High School English departments.
Learning Objectives:
Through production of a news item students will learn the skills of:
The News production process – generating original material, composition, organisation, teamwork and layout
Media literacy - including developing awareness of the visual and moving image medium
Delivery process – audience awareness, textual awareness, knowledge of news techniques e.g. presentational skills, speaking and listening skills
